About this deal

So far, the film was performing ok, like a normal color negative ISO 800 film in a disposable camera body. Well, despite the leaks, I think this was a successful experiment and I might reload another one and add some floss. This allows a guaranteed correct exposure on each shot rather than being limited to the f10/f11 lens and the 1/125th -ish shutter speed.

FEATURES: Ready to shoot with the push of a button, this camera has a wide-angle lens with a fixed focus range and fixed shutter speed for simplicity. The film itself still had no markings to indicate a brand, but the colors and the feel of the images really remind me of Lomography Color Negative 800 film. I assumed that the Ilford Rapid Retro was more or less a repackaging/rebranding of another disposable camera with a 3rd party film. The technical storage or access is strictly necessary for the legitimate purpose of enabling the use of a specific service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user, or for the sole purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network.

The ILFORD ILFOCOLOR Rapid single use camera is pre-loaded with 27-exposure ISO 400 Vinyage Tone colour negative film. Once the film was dried, the film went right to the scanner where I can finally say, I was very pleased with the results!

Technical data optical lens 31 mm, F = 11, 1 element focusing focus free, 1 m - 8 shutter speed trigger 1/125s flash time built-in flash switch - 15s repeat time film transport: manual coil and rewind film sensitivity: ISO 400 film format: 35 mm colour (pre-installed) image view: field = 70%. The images were saturated in some colors and a little more subdued in others but all of the colors were vibrant. A solid camera, easy to use, really just down right fun to use, performs consistently with other big-brand cameras on the market, this camera definitely does not disappoint. The fast film combined with a built-in flash makes the ILFOCOLOR Rapid a versatile device that delivers excellent results both outdoors and indoors in low light conditions. We wanted to test the Ilford Retro Color in a natural environment and see how it would react in one of the most popular use cases.A real black and white Single Use Camera with Flash that comes preloaded with the best selling XP2 Super film from Ilford which can be processed in C41 colour chemistry, alongside colour negative films. Do not drop or throw the camera as this may damage the internal mechanisms and cause the camera to malfunction.
